This market will resolve to “Yes” if it is announced that Elon Musk will leave the Trump Administration, or otherwise ceases to be a member of administration by June 30, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. An announcement of Musk’s resignation/removal before this market's end date will immediately resolve this market to "Yes", regardless of when the announced resignation/removal goes into effect. The Trump administration includes individuals formally appointed by Donald Trump to roles within the U.S. federal government, such as Cabinet members, Executive Office staff, senior policy advisors, ambassadors, or White House staff whose appointments are publicly announced by official government channels. Changes to Musk’s position within the Trump administration (e.g. if he is named administrator of DOGE), will not qualify for a “Yes” resolution. The primary resolution source will be official information from the Trump administration, however a consensus of credible reopening may also be used.

Yes he's announced it will happen in May (see the Daily Beast link below), but he has to leave or at least formally submit his resignation.
It's unclear as of right now whether he is leaving 'stepping down' or just reducing his workload to 1 day a week 'stepping down'.
On the one hand, the stuff he said about buddha not being around seems weird for someone that is planning to stay around, on the other hand he has said that he is planning to stay on during the press conference (a non-committal "I guess so" as answer to the question on whether or not he will stay). In his tesla shareholder call, he confirmed he was planning to stay. Right now, I'd estimate odds around 55/45 N/Y, but it all depends on what the Tesla shares do, if Trump can get him out without offending him (because he needs Musk's 100mln for the midterms in 2026) and how much the violence and online trolling is getting to Trump. It's a really tight margin right now.
