On November 6, 2025, Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, announced that the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) would be postponed from its previously scheduled release date of May 26, 2026, to a new release date of November 19, 2026. This market will resolve to "Yes" if by November 19, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, officially announces that Grand Theft Auto VI will not be released by November 19, 2026, or if Grand Theft Auto VI is otherwise not released in the US by November 19, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purposes of this market, "release" refers to the game becoming publicly available for purchase or download in the US. Early access, beta versions, other forms of pre-release availability, or leaks will not count as an official release. If the release is only for certain consoles (e.g. Xbox Series X/S) it will count. The resolution source will be official information from Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive; however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Strauss (CEO) just confirmed to IGN as well the the release date is final: Speaking to IGN ahead of Take-Two’s fiscal year 2026 financial results, CEO Strauss Zelnick insisted GTA 6 was on-track. “I've been saying for some time that the release date is November 19,” he said. “We obviously reiterated that today, so we feel really good about it.”

Release Date has just been confirmed as locked in by Take Two CEO. This is from a new interview that just released: -- Turning the conversation to the GTA 6 release date, Senra comments, "You're sitting on the most valuable media property in the world and everybody online is just like, 'When's GTA 6 coming out?' How do you deal with the timelines? The answer to that question is just, 'I don't know,' right?" Zelnick is quick to cut in. "Well, no. November 19. I do know."

Watch the interview clip, the quote in text form doesnt do it justice. He goes out of his way to say that's what the release date is because the interviewer was making it seem like the date wasnt locked in. If theyre going to delay he'd would be much more careful with his words.

Easy No, Take-Two already said they're really confident on the release date, they feel great about it. It's also around shopping holiday season, so they'll be able to sell it with console bundles. The game will only be on consoles at first, and take a least a half year before they port it to PC. That's the case with their other titles.
