This market will resolve to "Yes" if Half-Life 3 or a differently titled game continuing the Half-Life series is officially released in the US by December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purposes of this market, "release" refers to the game becoming publicly available for purchase or download in the US. Early access, beta versions, other forms of pre-release availability, or leaks will not count as an official release. If the release is only for certain consoles (e.g. Xbox Series X/S) it will count. The resolution source will be official information from Valve Corporation.

People still holding yes... why? Valve almost certainly won't release HL3 before the Steam Machine comes out next year. And even if they wanted to, there are only 3 weeks left in the year. Team Cherry received plenty of backlash for the chaos caused by their release of Silksong with only 2 weeks notice this year and Valve would have to be idiots to risk replicating that for the longest-awaited game of all time. Like, they literally own Steam. They make money when the industry does well and dropping two nukes in one year like that would be a disaster for them as well as everyone else hoping to release a game soon. Like seriously, just think about this for 5 seconds.

Honestly, it feels like an announcement is the most we could maybe hope for, and even that's a huge stretch. Valve loves to troll us. The real running joke is that HL3 is never coming out.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for Half-Life 3 in 2025, Valve loves to tease fans but they’ve been notoriously slow with new releases.
If it's going to launch soon its going to be with the launch of steam machine and steam frame lol. It's going to be 2026 at earliest.
