This market will resolve to "Yes" if martial law is declared in South Korea between December 8, 2025, 11:00 PM ET, and December 31, 2024, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". This market will resolve to "Yes" if martial law is declared regardless of whether the National Assembly later rejects that declaration. The primary resolution source for this market is information from the government of South Korea, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

We should have markets on this for other countries. Everyone was caught off guard by this would be cool if there would have already been a market on this before Yoon did his thing. Maybe we should have one for the US at least.

until he is impeached or quit, he is still the legal commander in cheif to control the military.
Defense Ministry spokesperson Jeon Ha-kyu responded in a regular briefing that morning to the question, "Who currently holds the command authority over the military?" He answered in the same manner. When asked a follow-up question, "Can someone accused of being the mastermind behind a rebellion retain command authority over the military?" he replied, "Are you asking for a judgment?" and added only, "Legally, the authority currently lies with the Commander-in-Chief (President Yoon)."

Thats free money. The president asked sorry and left for others to solve it. He didnt event resign, it wont happen.
