Over the last week several large unidentified flying objects have been recorded flying over New Jersey and New York. It has been broadly reported that they are drones: (https://x.com/rawsalerts/status/1867398877067854160?s=61) This market will resolve to "Yes" if any of these mystery "drones" reported flying over US territory is shot out of the sky by any means by the US government, by Sunday, December 15, 2024, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements made by the government of the United States of America.
we will see ...
It has been confirmed that the drone is fake.
Mystery no drones shot down by Sunday
Enthousiastic buy, Schwalls! Anything we're missing?
🎆
What does he know🤔
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says New Jersey drones 'a case of mistaken identity'[link removed]
Can't shoot down what doesn't exist
Soon we will see
Mr. Shekelberg, I want to be here with you when it happens... if it happens... [link removed]
He's already sold most of his shares. And so have you, at a little profit even, congrats!
how do you like my little comic strip? :^)
Keep trying and you'll improve!
Ah, I see you've sold too, well done. Congrats on the trade! :)
I sold because he didn't reply to my comic :^(
no step on snek
Doesn’t say it has to be the government, someone just bet on yes and shoot them down yourself
Here are a few options: 1. These are drones of a foreign government. They are shot down because there is a furor demanding action be taken, including from the President Elect of the United States of America (future commander-in-chief). 2. These are civilian aircraft, in which case, if they are shot down, this market resolves to Yes. Why? Because the "mysterious drones" in question were merely civilian aircraft operating legally or otherwise within U.S. airpsace. Thus the only relevant factor is the motive behind the government individual or individuals in question who shoot down these drones.
How one defines the drones (foreign, domestic, legal, illegal) is irrelevant. One can not prove what category any drone shot down belongs to, as that is an irrelevant factor in this market. This market is more about whether or not a drone will be shot down by American government agents, which is definitely more likely than 5%.
you think the odds of the us shooting down a plane is higher than 5%?
A plane? Do you believe the US government lacks the technology to correctly identify and shoot down a hostile aircraft? Small arms fire is sufficient to take out some of these drones, which are only a few hundred feet in the air.
I don't know why everyone here keeps trying to push for 'Yes'. Stating that if any drone gets shot down that the rules state this market will resolve to 'Yes' which just is not true... The rules clearly state that the US Government must make an announcement that they shot down a drone. Based on all of the feedback provided by the Government currently, they are not planning on shooting any drones down. I also doubt any new developments will occur over a weekend
You realize, don't you, that the US government is constituted by authorities at both the federal and local level, yes? If a law enforcement officer thinks, "This is one of those drones" and shoots it down for violating airspace, the market resolves to YES. The reasoning of the government employee in question is the only relevant factor. READ THE RULES!
If it's large and unidentified, yes (top line of the rules)
Only if its large and unidentified.
Large is a relative term. And if these drones are large, they are certainly not civilian. Commercially-available drones are not six feet long. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of credible sightings of large drones across the country.
The rules say any mystery 'drones' (large unidentified flying objects) shot down will mean YES wins. If it's just any drone shot down, it will resolve to NO.
they are literally in the top line of the rules.
The market is clear that if a government agent shoots down a drone while suspecting it of being one of "the mysterious drones," the market resolves to Yes.
It literally refers back to it in this 'core rules' concept you invented. 'If any of *these* *mystery 'drones' reported flying over US territory* is *shot out out of the sky* by *the US government*'...
Oxy, here are a few options: 1.
HOLY SHIT... Paying more attention to the rules, I'm beginning to realize that ANY drone shot down by ANY government-affiliated organization will resolve this market to Yes. HAHAHAHA! WTF! Pay careful attention to the wording: "Over the last week several large unidentified flying objects have been recorded flying over New Jersey and New York. It has been broadly reported that they are drones." New Jersey AND New York. Note the antecedent, "they." Next paragraph, "This market will resolve to 'Yes' if any of these mystery 'drones' reported flying over US territory is shot out of the sky by any means by the US government, by Sunday, December 15, 2024, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to 'No'." Note "these 'mystery' drones" refers to "they" mentioned prior, i.e. these drones spotted across many states on the eastern seaboard. NO BUYERS FUCKED UP BIG TIME HAHAHAHA!
Government agencies shoot drones down all the time because idiots violate airspace. Now the local authorities are on high-alert. WHADYA THINKS GUNNA HAPPEN, YA IDIOT? All that would be required to fulfill the spirit of this market is if the person in question who shoots down a drone had a suspicion the drone was one of "the mysterious drones." And, if the police report that one of their officers took down a drone due to this suspicion, NO HOLDERS GET WIPED! Thanks for getting me into this market, Mr. Shekelstein.
any mystery drones. if it's not a mystery drone but a regular drone, you're out of luck
The drones have switched off their lights when being tracked and do not respond to radio signals, according to multiple sources in the government. NJ Assemblyman Paul Kanitra has confirmed that the drones are flying over US military bases and collecting intel like that Chinese spy in the article posted earlier did. Biden administration will want to downplay all of this as private entities screwing around for fun, but it's clear that there's a worryingly increasing trend of China spying on the United States aerially.
Probably, actually. I'm not a troll or whatever you may be. I genuinely believe democrats are pussies and performing damage control right now and that the local authorities may lose patience and just blast a drone out of the sky. Whose drone? Market doesn't specify. People buying No at 95+ are the dumbest, gheyest returds.

It's very obvious why the Biden administration is trying to downplay this. We are being surveilled en masse by hostile foreign entities. China has hacked our communications networks. "Hush hush..."
At least four commercial airline pilots have encountered mysterious, colorful, circular lights “moving at extreme speeds” through the skies above Oregon this past weekend, according to local reports. Pilots and nearby air traffic control dispatchers discussed the alarming sightings in air traffic control audio archives from Dec. 7, which were obtained by OregonLive.
If you buy yes, you’re donating money lol
why?
NJ Governor has stated they can’t shoot down the drones, and that the federal government would have to intervene, and the FBI along with the White House are currently saying it’s not a threat… If it doesn’t get shot down by today it definitely won’t by Sunday
Yeah but that won't resolve this market... It has to as the rules state specifically be shot down "by the US government"
Seeing that most of Congress and the White House will be away on the weekend, unless it is an emergency, and new news comes out, it won't be shot down on Sunday. It would have to happen today (the order would have to come out publicly)...
Surveillance drones are flying all over the United States and the Biden administration is trying to downplay it like the Chinese spy balloons were downplayed. Those balloons were merely to test our reaction. No retaliation? Full scale surveillance in the skies.
The police don't count as the government... Read the rules of this market, the US Government has to be the ones to authorize and shoot down any drones. If any of them are shot down by residents, or police, not on official word of the US Government this market will still resolve to "No"...
impossible to shot down alien technology
State and local authorities constitute the US government. If Homeland Security and the FBI coordinate the capture and shooting down of one of these drones for analysis, that would resolve this market to Yes.
thx for your money
