This market will resolve to "Yes" if any individual other than Tyler Robinson is arrested in connection with the assassination of US media personality Charlie Kirk by September 30, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Temporary holding at a detention facility while awaiting a judge’s decision on whether to grant a detention warrant qualifies, so long as they are held by law enforcement in an official capacity during that time. A qualifying arrest/detention includes: * Being taken into physical custody by law enforcement authorities (including federal, state, local, military, or international law enforcement) * Voluntarily surrendering to law enforcement authorities in response to an arrest warrant * Being formally booked or processed following detention * Being handcuffed by a state authority and taken to a police station * Surrendering at a police station or courthouse with their attorney * Being placed under house arrest or electronic monitoring The following scenarios will NOT qualify as an arrest/detention * An arrest warrant being issued but not executed * Being questioned or interviewed without arrest * Being named in an indictment without arrest The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the arresting government and law enforcement; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Changing the rules while the market was still on-going is lame as fuck.
Well that clarification sure took the fun out of this market
could happen if someone is found to incite it or something
“additional context” just jewed so much people
I'm pretty sure the admin was thinking about this market when clarifying. Like it's literally the first sentence of that market lol: https://polymarket.com/event/fact-check-was-tyler-robinson-a-lone-actor/fact-check-was-tyler-robinson-a-lone-actor?tid=1758112173236
It's almost as if this admin wanted this specific arrest not to count. "investigation for charges such as obstruction of justice, false confessions, or other post-incident condust, will not qualify" when before, it was just "anyone who is arrested in connection..."
and this is way more than just a "clarification". This added like 3 different elements to the original rules.
Go to Polymarket's X to protest them, I'm doing it. It's a real lie. It changed the rules of the game when the market was running.
So... I wouldn't be surprised if the authorities would come to conclusion Robinson was shooting alongside a fellow guy who also was on the rooftop and had his rifle aimed at Kirk and yet Polymarket would find a way to rule out that somehow "it's not directly related to Kirk shooting". lmao
Polymarket this is actually messed up, I like the site but you literally just scammed me.
always the same: polymarket clarifies, people whine & act like its the first time ever. You just shouldn't go all in on this kind of thing. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. In the end it evens out.
whats ?
In this case the "clarification" is a blatant change of the rules and has no basis in them
You are willfully ignorant and argue in bad faith.
90% of people are just opportunistic and trying to argue for their position. For the argument, being not invested into this, additional lines were needed, just "connection with the assassination" is vague itself.
Making up new rules for no reason after an arrest happened? Never using this scam site again.
The old man that pretended to be the Kirk shooter has been arrested. He confessed that he was diverting police attention so Tyler Robinson could get away. Surely that counts
*According to the phrasing of rules of the bet, a very clear "yes" resolving event happens.* Admin: NUUUH THAT DOESN'T COUNT YOU DONT WIN DUUUH. Then admin makes up a rule which cannot be interpreted out of the phrasing of the original rules AT ALL. Does Admin not know he is not in kindergarten anymore? Does admin not know things like this can make him liable in civil and criminal court?
Is this site where users are encouraged to MISTRUST the phrasing of the rules of a bet? What kind of wacky Willy Wonka platform is this?
Not using polymarket again for any bet whit non fixed outcome, shameful behavior changing the rules after an arrest was made. Now this is a copy of the lone bet but expiring much sooner.
its crazy how few of you can read. they clarified the rules to say that no arrests after the incident as in obstruction of justice in regards to the case not the actual assassination
The important thing is, it was not updated from the beginning. Bro understand that? Money was bet then the rules of the game changed?
“Clarified” is a really funny way to say changed
Yes holders complain... but they won't do what is necessary: To get themselves arrested in connection with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. A shame...
Can’t wait for them to doctor the rules again… Robinson had to have disassembled his rifle to leave the campus undetected
He then reassembled it before leaving it in the woods to be found by the police.
“You didn’t know this rifle couldn’t be disassembled and found it strange the shooter escaped undetected with such a large rifle. That means your brain is made of water” dude take a breather, or get some blood pressure meds proscribed.
Also the crux of the argument was him escaping in an area with such a large presence of surveillance. Why was that completely ignored in your long tirade?
We shouldn’t be hasty in making theories about the shooting. I laid out my thoughts to you earlier. I do however have a “theory” or rather a conclusion about something else. You have some serious mental issues since instead of just saying “the gun is not easily disassembled” you went on a long, angry rant. Where did you learn to act like this? It must have been people treating you that way in your past, which is sad but doesn’t give you the right to act the same way to others.
"Only arrests directly related to the planning or perpetration of the assassination itself will qualify" So this bet is essentially a duplicate of the "Was Tyler Robinson a lone actor" bet? With the additional context there is barely any difference
unilaterally modifying the rules AFTER an event occurred that clearly fulfilled the resolution criteria is ridiculous
I feel like this topic is a scam,
