Legislative elections are expected to be held in Thailand in January or February, 2026. The Thai House of Representatives will select the next Prime Minister of Thailand following this election. This market will resolve to “Yes” if the next prime minister of Thailand is officially selected by March 31, 2026, 11:59 PM. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Any prime minister formally selected by passing a vote in the Thai House of Representatives within this market’s timeframe will count, regardless of whether they have been officially appointed by the King of Thailand. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Thailand; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

hello people
Impossible that this could happen . Their process is so slow .
First parliament gathering - 18 Mar . Choosing PM - 4 April
There's a news that the first parliament will gather at 12 Mar. Wr're cooked

As a thai, i somehow believe that it will end before 30 of this month 🥹
Reuters: The commission has certified all 100 party-list seats and a further three constituency seats, the sources told Reuters, meaning all but one of the 500 parliamentary seats have now been confirmed. The commission was due to hold a press conference later on Wednesday. Under the rules, the new parliament must meet within 15 days of certification. It will elect a speaker and deputy speaker and will then choose a prime minister, who will move to form a government.
The process of certify is surprisingly fast this time
Not fast enough to beat the deadline. No is a steal.
This process takes a lot of time in Thailand. They have 60 days to certify all the election results, and then once they are certified they could take 15 days before they even sit, then they need to elect a speaker, and then the process begins. I think end of April or early May is more likely.
The Prime Minister will be chosen by around May, MPs won't sit until around April and Speaker would have to be chosen by Songkran.
This is the timeline as per Thairath [link removed].th/election69/live just translate it
Why no?
The previous two times, it took a long time to choose the prime minister because the progressive party held a majority and relied on the Senate’s votes in the prime ministerial election. This time, the conservative party won by a landslide and doesn’t need the Senate - just two parties are enough to form a government.
The amount of time it takes to certify (can be up to 60 days by law) then up to another 15 days to actually sit in parliament, then select speaker, then field all the nominations.... I think it's closer to the end of April or beginning of May.
