The Paddy Power World Darts Championship is scheduled to take place at London’s Alexandra Palace from December 11 until January 3. This market will resolve to “Yes” if any player hits a nine-dart finish during the PDC World Darts Championship, as officially recognized in any match of the tournament. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. For the purpose of this market, a nine-dart finish is defined as a player completing a leg of 501 in exactly nine darts under the official scoring of the tournament. Nine-darters achieved in any round will qualify. The primary resolution source will be the official results published on the PDC website (https://www.pdc.tv); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
"A nine-darter (perfect game) in darts is extremely rare; statistically, it's about a 1 in 1,456 chance per leg in pro events, though it feels more frequent due to more matches being seen, akin to a lightning strike for most players. " There is only one game left make these odds make sense
even if the game goes the distance and has the maximum amount of legs and you account for the higher skill ceiling this would be overpriced
People take the bad odds because they just want to maximize the intensity
It's not a real bet.... At least I hope not
no way
should be an option for 2 or 3 9-darters
It's a long shot, but possible. The pressure is genuinely insane on that stage. They'll get close maybe a few missed double 12s but I think the nerves will kill it. I'm betting no, unfortunately.
Its more matches this year, so probability goes up. I think its a good value bet
