So if Burnham wins on the 18th and somehow manages to get 80MPs to agree to a leadership contest it would have to end in under two weeks? Am I the only one who sees this as totally impossible…

Just the voting process will take at least two weeks. If the MP voting takes place in 18th, he wins the same day and starts the challenge still doesn't make it to the June 30.

Rule said, it doesn't need to wait for all those. Just his announcement of resignation/removal is suffice, regardless of when it goes into effect.
