This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald Trump signs any federal legislation or performs any executive action enacting a tariff on imports of semiconductors into the United States by December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Only tariffs specifically targeting semiconductors will qualify. For example, a general tariff (tariffs on all imports into the U.S.) or country-specific tariff (tariffs on all imports from China) will not count toward this market's resolution. Tariffs on semiconductors from a specific country will qualify. Any tariff which is officially enacted within the market's time frame will qualify, regardless of when the tariff goes into effect. This market's primary resolution source will be official information from the Trump administration; however, a consensus of credible information will also be used.
Once again a decision that contradicts reality
Tarrifs were set regardless on whether it's a change or not. That is why it'll go Yes. ggs.
yes!
You can dispute, you can cope, you can beg, but this will be a Yes.
how do you always lose money?
[link removed] The new tariff plan resulted from a Section 301 investigation by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative into China’s policies and practices related to semiconductor production and trade. The probe was initiated last December by the Biden administration.
the action was taken by trump not biden regardless of when the probe was initiated. this is retarded
ggs... again because apparently only thonker can read. No one even considered the rules would be slightly different from the previous markets
I sold for nothing, ah well
I got out thankfully. Mad market, rules so ambiguous
Bonkers market
who dafuq tried to scam this market

Page 2, fifty percent tariff on semiconductors. Bright and clear.
50% was already there.
The 0% argument is dumb as bricks, but maybe Thonker has a point with the lack of administration phrasing for this market
executive branch action
Executive action means memos, eos, and proclamations. It doesn't mean any action from the executive branch.
Assuming that you have read all relevant information sources, you should know better. Office of the United States trade representative published a notice of action today, which states 50 percent tariff on Chinese semiconductors. Direct quote from page 2 of the document-- These new Section 301 tariffs would be additional to the existing 50 percent Section 301 tariff on semiconductors from China imposed pursuant to the Section 301 investigation related to forced technology transfer. Similar market on other site has a rule that semiconductor tariff has to be global. This market's rules state that tariffs on a specific country will qualify.
tariff was set at 0% = no tariff?
[link removed]
A 0% tariff is a legally set tariff, and it explictly was stated that rates will increase. Per rules, officially enacted qualifies regardless of when it goes into effect.
why on other betting site the same question costs 94 cent for a No and 6 cent for a yes, when here its exactly opposite? same question, same rules.. I dont get it. on Kals....
I tried to tell you about it earlier in the comment section. If you see other profitable accounts buying against you you should try and figure out why
Gg all I’m out. I flagged this 6 days ago and it’s been trading seriously low since!
ggs
Welcome to the good side Car
There’s 1 big no holder here who’s 5k in the red. Smart money on yes
?!
Pump and dump
Lovely average price my man
Already a yes, GG
I appreciate Trump himself did not sign the document however the USTR is an executive branch and Trump has ultimate oversight of it so any action by them is an action by him. It’s not an executive order but it’s an action from his executive. When this is published in the federal register tomorrow it should resolve yes.
