30,635,000 million people tuned in to watch the first inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States on January 20, 2017 (see: https://www.nielsen.com/insights/2017/nearly-31-million-americans-watch-president-donald-trumps-inauguration/). This market will resolve to "Yes" if Trump's second inauguration has more than 30,635,000 viewers. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source will be information from Nielsen, specifically their Persons 2+ statistic. If Nielsen does not provide viewership information for Trump's inauguration by January 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET, another credible source may be chosen.
The trend is so clear that the better the data for X and other streams, the worse the data for traditional TV media that can count more accurate numbers, you can't expect Nielsen to count a whole bunch of less-reliable streaming viewers.
Did the people who bought yes in this market not notice that in the hours before the settlement, the price of almost the same market next door (Trump's viewership surpassed Biden's 33 million) had come to 30-70? At the time, this market remained at 65-35, the other market was bigger and more sensitive, and the yes holder of this market would have been smart to sell at 65, which is actually a very good price in comparison
I'm just looking for all the Yes buyers who thought they had one over us No buyers to kowtow to us for being total retards
L retards. We Nos WIN.
Gg
Nielsen: Viewership peaked with 34.4 million viewers during the 12:15 PM quarter-hour.
Thats like Trump's speech
its about the average not the peak but true
thanks guys couldn not work today cause i got a lil sick but that made it up 3 times, a big thanks to all the yes buyers :)
Resolve please!

Nielsen will release its final ratings Wednesday morning, including additional networks that carried the ceremony
yeah broddy
What additional networks are you expecting? LOL
Usually local and regional stations are added. You are seeing Fox News and MSNBC ratings but if you watched it on Fox and NBC, you are not yet counted
nielsen has been including youtube for last years
You did not read the article: Among the broadcast networks, ABC led in total viewers with 4.7 million, while NBC pulled ahead in the demographic with 1.2 million. On Monday, 26.3 million viewers watched Trump take the oath of office across seven different networks, including Fox Business Network. In the demo, roughly 5.9 million tuned in.
This can be cope, but knowing US media this could be an Iowa to Kamala by 5 points early error to get a headline
cope
and for those who believe otherwise: if you're right you can get rich quick. yay!!
sold no to early. seeing the preliminary numbers from Nielsen it might still happen, but reaaaaaally unlikely (somewhere between 1 and 5% i'd say)
Fair. But we shall see the official report tomorrow
I put most of my balance on no at 32 cents so getting out at 86 cents made sense otherwise I'd have ridden it out.
yeah you had that numbers quickly, good call.
we need specifically their Persons 2+ statistic
According to Nielsen’s early data ratings.................

Incomplete data
But it appeared the TV audience was down from the nearly 40 million viewers who watched former President Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s speech in 2021, and the 38.3 million who watched Mr. Trump’s first inaugural in 2017. Ok, going to up up 12.3+ million? NO
No. The article you provided only had households on Fox News only. Nielsen takes into account all networks including local stations, how many people per household watching (people do watch from the same TV) and who watched part of the inaugeration but missed the speech
Read the article, that's not what it says, or go read this one. [link removed].uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/[link removed]
Nielsen's official report is tomorrow
No way got just 12M viewers lmao
