This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald Trump and Xi Jinping speak directly to one another between April 11, 2:00 PM ET, and April 18, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Any conversation that occurs directly between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping will qualify, regardless of whether it is over the phone, videocall, or in person. The conversation must be voice-based, not text-based. The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the governments of China and the United States, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

This might come in the form of Trump boasting he "had a beautiful call" with Xi. Hopefully there aren't issues with resolution.
Xi isn't even in China this week -- do you really think he'd take a call from the orange while visiting other countries?

Xi isnt good at talk, he's stiff in emotion, he may wants to show how strength he is, as we all can see in recent tariff encounters, but he's verbal expression skill isnt as good as trump, he may better choose another way to communicate with trump but the possibility of speaking directly is very low. he chose to fight back the tariffs because this may be seen as weak in chinese people if he didnt do it, but refuse or ignore a call wont be seen as weak in chinese culture
