This market will resolve to “Yes” if it is announced that any 2026 FIFA World Cup match originally scheduled to be held in Mexico will be relocated to a location outside of Mexico by June 10, 2026, 11:59 ET. Otherwise, it will resolve to “No”. A qualifying announcement will immediately resolve the market to "Yes" regardless of whether the relocation is later revoked. The resolution source will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Update of the day: one Canadian dead and several people of other nationalities injured in Teotihuacán. Will the FIFA president comment on this?
If the cartel keeps acting like hamas terrorists like they have so far it's not so far fetched, we'll see
Any thoughts on Iran’s matches being moved to Mexico or Canada?
There is gonna be more cartel violence in the next month, this is super undervalued. wait for the next incident

It nowhere says that it has to be bc of this incident u genius.
FIFA reportedly considering relocating Mexico World Cup games amid cartel violence. Source : HITC news
Think this is incredibly unlikely. Mexico is scheduled to host 13 matches in three cities (Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey). Only one of these cities which is in a state with a lot of cartel activity is Guadalajara. There is a lot of petty crime, but the actual cartel presence in the city itself is low, and the place is full of security forces. For the game to actually move you’d have to see a complete breakdown of law and order. Don’t see any indication that is happening/is going to happen - these flareups after a major cartel figure is killed/captured have happened before, and no games have been rescheduled, and the violence isn’t even in the cities which are hosting games. Pretty obvious these cities were chosen because of their lack of cartel control/influence. Even if a game did get moved, its just going to move to another venue in Mexico, unless you think the whole gov/security infrastructure of Mexico collapses, in which case yeah the games move. But that seems basically impossible. Realistically, the Mexican gov is going to prefer to 10x security at any venues and run the small risk of an attack rather than deal with the guaranteed political humiliation of moving a game to the US or Canada because the country is not safe. Tickets have also been sold for months now anyway, so the possibility of moving a game is just practically v difficult
The problem is many tourists won’t go there no one will risking their life for watching football , and FIFA will not profitable if the seat is empty.
I’ll buy that ticket. Many people will.
