This market will resolve to "Yes" if credible reporting confirms that Elon Musk, either personally or through an entity, enters into an agreement with TikTok to acquire its US operations by March 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". An official announcement will qualify for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of whether the acquisition is ultimately completed. The primary resolution source for this market is official information from Elon Musk and/or TikTok, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

The NO space in April is already limited. You can continue to purchase NO in May, which will soon yield nearly 40% profit. China firmly refuses to sell TikTok

What if it is acquired 50% by Musk and 50% by U.S Government?
That’s impossible bro. Chinese gov will make sure this won’t happen.
Biy no
I hope this happens. It'll make liberal heads explode! 😁
There needs to be clarification on this Q re. whether Musk being part of a consortium that buys TikTok qualifies.
It's happening Trump
What if he only buy lets say, a third of the shares?
The rules don't make it clear. I think a controlling share would logically qualify as "buying" the company, but that's just my opinion.
Then the whales at UMA decide depending on where they put their money:)
lol thats what im thinking so imma stay out of these lol. Same thing with the 'intention to sale' markets. The phrasing of the resolutions are literally designed for abuse. Of course tiktok will announce 'intention to sale' at some point cuz they literally have no option. But actually intending to sell to a specific party is a whole different story.
Okay, let's be honest. This market should have a timeline of, say, June. April is way too early to finalize the sale of a big company like Tik Tok.
naa it's already done.
The average timeframe for the sale of a large company is 6 to 10 months. Even with an expedited timeframe, getting it done in less than three months is unreasonable.
the thing is that already started
the rules state "An official announcement will qualify for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of whether the acquisition is ultimately completed."
Did you read the rules by chance
It's happening Trump just said he is OK with that.
yeah but who creates these bets?
Please read the rules of this market thoroughly, there is a clear dissonnance between market title and rules. This market seems really fishy to me (potential market manipulation and/or ridiculous interpretation of rules for YES resolution). Slated to become a potential scam, e.g. like the US shutdown market.
How about Elon only buy a stake?
elon is chinese plant so yes
cactus is considered a chinese plant? I thought it was Americas, or African , not chinese?
that would be depressing
