This market will resolve to "Yes" if the US Federal Reserve increases the amount of securities it holds outright week over week by April 30, 2025. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Relevant information is typically released every Thursday for the Wednesday preceding it. This market will resolve according to information as it stands on the chart at any point, regardless of whether a datapoint is later revised down, unless a point that shows up is an obvious error. This market's primary resolution source will be information from the St. Louis Fed's "Assets: Securities Held Outright: U.S. Treasury Securities: Wednesday Level (WSHOTSL)" chart, found here: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WSHOTSL
This is bullshit. QT is not finished. You don't get to decide. Give people their money back.
heyy the fed doesn't end QT. why the bet is finish. I bet No, and want my money.
Fed leaves rates alone, to slow pace of QT in April By Reuters March 19, 2025
Translation: QT not over. this market should not have resolved! Countless media quoted Polymarket and led to significant market disinformation.
The condition in question is no different from saying, 'Kamala wins if someone who voted Republican in the previous election votes for her' as the criterion for a bet on 'Will Kamala win?' Yes, Kamala could have won, and a former Republican voter could have voted for her, but that wouldn’t mean she won because of that Republican’s vote. Similarly, declaring QT as ended based on your stated condition doesn’t actually mean QT has ended. Admit your mistake and reopen the bet.
QT still hasn't ended. You should take responsibility for the misleading title and give people what they rightfully deserve. Even if it means taking a loss. Credibility matters.
The title of this market is, at best, confusing and, at worst, misleading. Ending Quantitative Tightening (QT), or balance sheet normalization, occurs when the Federal Reserve decides to stop draining excess liquidity from the banking system by halting the reduction of its asset holdings. The increase observed on the Fed's balance sheet is primarily due to inflation compensation (see here [link removed] ). Inflation compensation refers to adjustments made to the face value of certain securities, such as Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS), to account for changes in inflation. Importantly, this adjustment does not mean the Fed is actively increasing its holdings of securities. Therefore, the condition of "the Federal Reserve increasing the amount of securities it holds" has not been met. QT has not ended, and this market should still be open.
Oh, my friend. Even if the condition is met, we still can't say that QT has ended. The title is clearly misleading, and they're avoiding taking responsibility for it
i want to bet on no
If yes is 100%, shouldnt people just place bets on no? Near infinite payout in off chance QT doesn’t end by April 30th ……
At a time when many experts were saying that QT wasn't over, deciding on 'yes' before the matter was clearly settled is extremely disappointing for Polymarket. It was my first time using Polymarket, and this is what happened to me. Interesting.
oh no, retarded NO
Polymarket is scamming us by resolving this market to yes and not letting me 1000x my investment. Therefore, I will be filing a lawsuit against Polymarket. Who's with me?
oh no
what happened
