The church will be considered captured if any part of building is shaded red on the ISW map (https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/36a7f6a6f5a9448496de641cf64bd375) by the resolution date. If the area is not shaded red by March 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to “No”. Once Russia captures the church, any subsequent loss of control will not be considered towards the resolution of this market. ISW doesn't rely on Russian mappers. They rely on geolocated footage showing Russian/Ukrainian forces getting hit. If Russians are getting hit by Ukrainians north of the railway and around the train station, ISW will assess that it means Russians controlled that area.
At first, they deemed the first few geolocated videos as "infiltrations". But over the last week, we've had no less than 7 different instances of Russian forces getting hit well beyond the red areas on the map. Today, they finally decided to stop categorizing these as "infiltrations" and they painted it red. It was bound to happen eventually.
