Yes$164K Vol.Valve has announced the release of the new Steam Machine gaming console in early 2026. (see: https://store.steampowered.com/sale/steammachine) This market will resolve to "Yes" if the price of Valve's Steam Machine 512GB edition is $700 or greater upon release. In order to be considered released, the product must be available for purchase by the general public within the specified timeframe. An announcement or unveiling alone is not sufficient. This market is specifically about the Steam Machine with 512GB of storage. The product must be named "Steam Machine" to qualify. If the Steam Machine 512GB edition gaming console is not released by December 31, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements from Valve. However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Steam deck just had an increase of $300 no way at current market is this below $700 but decent chance they dont release it this year as it will be DoA and it resolves to NO.
The no case is that is doesn't come out this year.
Not sure, not sure.
Yang: “I mean, obviously we’re bummed that this is the state of things. At the very least, we’re not the only ones in this boat. Like everyone’s kind of figuring out how to overcome these obstacles and challenges—RAM shortages, memory shortages, price hikes, everything. You know, it’s unavoidable that it will impact basically anything we make that has any of those parts in them. So we’re doing our best to make sure that we can make the product and have it still available at as good and competitive a price as we can. But yeah, it’s challenging for sure.”
Steam controller alone is 100 USD - no way the steam machine, (which includes the steam controller) falls under 700 USD

Steam even says they don't plan on subsidized console pricing or to sell it at a loss but price similarly to pcs. Easiest money on polymarket
100 percent
Even the five year old xbox series and and ps5 cost close to $700 now, there is no way this thing comes in under $700. Steam doesnt need to take a loss on hardware to move units, the entire world already uses their platform
Steam never makes money from machines, it will for sure cost less than 700$.
Otherwise they just won't release it now, wait for the ram issue to be resolved
No one making consoles is making money from selling the hardware. They usually lose money on the hardware. That's why consoles are so cheap. Steam won't subsidize the Steam Machine, so expect a high price, especially with the RAM situation.
Honestly I think this ones gonna be more than $700
Then you bought the wrong side buddy
Is there market for price of steam frame?
It’s not just about the specs; it’s about the experience. I’m happy to pay $700 if it means I never have to deal with Windows Update or a clunky UI on my TV again. The 'instant suspend/resume' on the Steam Machine is a game-changer for couch gaming.
RAM prices up over 200% last year alone, NVMe drives facing similar increases. There is no way this thing is under $700
The likely outcome, relying on Valve's wholesale sourcing and their aim for sustainable pricing, is a retail price of around 699$.
They've said publicly since they're not selling it at a loss. Literally trying to prepare people so they arent sticker shocked
Absolute no brainer - can’t imagine this thing costing less than 899 in current market conditions
Careful, if it is priced at $699 MSRP, the yes' likely lose this one
if its $699 the yes SHOULD 100% loose this one
Likely lol
Obviously. Very comparable mini-pcs go for ~800
Priced to sell, going for 699
I guess the MSRP counts
