This market will resolve to “Yes” if Donald Trump or his administration officially announces that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will be terminated before its currently scheduled end date of July 4, 2026, at any point on or before December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Only official policy announcements will qualify. Informal statements, plans contingent on future conditions, statements of intent without a formal policy directive, restructuring announcements that do not specify termination, or any other statements that do not constitute a formal announcement of early termination will not be considered. The resolution source will be official announcements from the Trump administration, however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
what an absolute clown show
what was that?
Per Reuters: Trump administration officials have not openly said that DOGE no longer exists, even after Musk's public feud with Trump in May. Musk has since left Washington. Trump and his team have nevertheless signaled its demise in public since this summer, even though the U.S. president signed an executive order earlier in his term decreeing that DOGE would last through July 2026.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), created by Donald Trump and led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, has been quietly dissolved eight months before its contract expired. Federal personnel chief Scott Kupor confirmed the department no longer exists as a centralized entity, validating months of speculation prompted by opaque operations and reports of departing staff. Doge’s shutdown follows a controversial tenure marked by secretive agency ‘invasions’, mass firings and disputed claims of transparency.
Also there's no official document proving that the DOGE was/will be closed before July 2026
no need for any document in rules its stated that announcement is enough and you have confirmation from Federal chief Scott Kupor
He said it's not a "centralized" entity anymore
Informal statements, plans contingent on future conditions, statements of intent without a formal policy directive, restructuring announcements that do not specify termination, or any other statements that do not constitute a formal announcement of early termination will not be considered.
Will somebody dispute it?
Per Guardian: While Trump administration officials have not publicly commented on the fact Doge reportedly no longer exists, documents revealed by Reuters showed that the OPM, the federal government’s human resources office, have since taken over many of the department’s former responsibilities. Trump has also been known to speak about Doge in the past tense and Musk officially leaving Washington in May further heightened speculations.
Per rules: nformal statements, plans contingent on future conditions, statements of intent without a formal policy directive, restructuring announcements that do not specify termination, or any other statements that do not constitute a formal announcement of early termination will not be considered.
haha
This needs to be disputed
