This market will resolve to "Yes" if President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro talks with Donald Trump between October 15 and December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". A talk is defined as any interaction between the listed individual and Donald Trump, occurring either in person or through verbal communication by phone or video call. The resolution source will be a consensus of credible reporting.

There is no official proof they talked from October to December. Maybe Trump made it up, or they talked last year. So we wait…

They don't reference their source, or even that there is one. Which is odd. The only attributed statement is to the White House denial. I've asked the jounalist what the source is - will post if I hear back from him.

This is the same playbook trump used against North Korea in his first tour. Threaten him then befriend him. They only discuss the *details* NYT mentioned or the (context) around the call. Discussing details or context is not independent confirmation of the call itself. No outlet states "we confirm the call happened" or reports it from their own sourcing. If the call itself cannot be traced to any source other than NYT, then there is no independent reporting and no consensus under the rules.
