This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald Trump publicly and unequivocally announces that he is removing Jerome Powell as Chair of the Federal Reserve before his term is up, or takes formal action toward doing so, such as issuing a directive or formal request by May 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Statements which are contingent (e.g. “Powell must step down or raise rates”), statements of intent (e.g.“I am planning to fire Powell”) or other informal statements which are not unequivocal will not qualify. The resolution source will be official information from Donald Trump however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Remember guys, he says he has no intention of firing Powell, he's only sneakily trying to do everything he can to fire him.
remember, always trust Trump. He somehow has never lied in this term.
might be
“ President Trump said he has “no intention” of firing Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.”
Interesting rules: Or takes formal action toward doing so, such as issuing a directive or formal request
He doesnt need to actually fire him. All he needs to do is try, like issuing a statement, a note, or signing a directive or request
This market should be higher.
POWELL IS LIKE A GOLFER WHO CAN'T PUTT! NO FEEL!!
While I applaud Polymarket for finally discovering that words mean something and are extremely explicit in the rules, this market is still ripe for a UMA scam/early and incorrect resolution. Beware
words and rules don't matter: see April Tariff market
True, although that halfway UMA scamming rather than polymarket verbiage. I literally mean the language of the actual rules, this one is just slightly better than old markets, they actually put in effort. Polymarket literally does not have an editor for their market rules, it’s insane. And I know they don’t have an editor because as you said, the tariff markets. They have multiple “additional context” portions that completely invalidated the posted rules of a market. That’s not possible with an editor. I believe it’s because polymarket is run by crypto bros who truly have no respect for the arts, including language. It is why they will have contradicting rules or rules that could easily become contradictory, they truly do not understand that words literally have meaning. I know that sounds silly and ridiculous, but it’s true.

ugh he's such a diva he would slay as a drag queen
But for real
Find it odd that this market isn’t higher given trumps comments today
He has asked SCOTUS to assess whether he can fire Powell so I believe something is in the works
Especially considering this will resolve to “yes” if he extends a “formal request”. Which is very ambiguous
TRUMP: JEROME POWELL IS ALWAYS TOO LATE AND WRONG *TRUMP: POWELL’S TERMINATION `CANNOT COME FAST ENOUGH' *TRUMP: FED SHOULD HAVE LOWERED INTEREST RATES LONG AGO
Great grammar.
