This market will resolve to "Yes" if Yoon Suk Yeol spends any time in custody in a jail or prison between June 25 and July 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from involved government(s), however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Shouldn't be resolved. It doesn't count
There is no sentence, WTF?
What qualifies as "non-temporary detention" if not a sentence as per "Additional context"?
The additional context explains it perfectly. Before the arrest warrant was issued, he was taken to the Seoul Detention Center to wait for the judge's decision. This waiting period does not qualify. The warrant was issued a few hours later and he's now back in custody, which qualifies
Additional context MISLEADS. Without it many people wouldn't bet.
It's perfectly clear if you read the whole sentence
ok
Yoon’s new arrest could mark the beginning of an extended period in custody, potentially lasting months or longer. Yoon can be initially detained at the center for up to 20 days, while the special prosecutor will aim to indict him on additional charges.

non-temporary detention initiated by a court ordered warrant will count. How do we know wether it is non-temporary
It's important to understand there were 3 markets: 1) Detained. 2) Back in jail. 3) Sentenced to prison. The first one resolved Yes because Yoon was taken to the Seoul Detention Center while waiting for the judge's decision on issuing an arrest warrant. This is what the clarification is referring to. Simply being detained while waiting for the decision does not qualify in this 2nd market. After a few hours, the arrest warrant was issued and he's now back in jail, similar to earlier this year, which meets the rules. 3rd market is for a real prison sentence.
I think it could be NO
Again stinky situation like with the suit. Yes holders can now claim almost full win without 0.5% yet they don't do it. It is very strange and it also invalidates purpose of the site which is chance prediction.
afaik it is temporary detention, which does not qualify.
Your comment only confirms, that I'm right. Unless you have something to indicate that it is not temporary.
Every warrant is temporary unless it's life imprisonment
If you want to argue philosophically, then life is also temporary :)
They claimed victory too quickly, the rules are not met, and the probability is not 99
Exactly
I agree. Bid more no please.
Not over, just 20 days
It’s gonna be interesting
Yoongate now?
Yes
Yoon being held in detention center and prosecutor can question him for up to 20 days. This does not meet requirements of the post, which is clarified. This is different to the other bet for 15 july, which has different clarification. Yoon must be jailed and it cannot be a temporary holding. Yoon is merely detained at seoul correctional facility and it is a temporary holding of maximum 20 days, which he will be questioned.
Nah its not temporary. Its 6 months bro
Bro escaped?
Yonhap confirms Yoon has been arrested and is now in custody at the Seoul Detention Center. [link removed].kr/view/AKR20250709150700004
This doesnt meet the requirements (unlike the other bet). He must be jailed and it cannot be a temporary detention. He can be only be temporarily held up to 20 days for questioning so far. Not jailed or imprisoned.
Wrong. The clarification is referring to temporary holding while awaiting the judge’s decision, which is what happened before the arrest warrant was issued. He was then arrested and is now in jail. There’s a separate market about prison after sentencing
What happened?
YOON I BEG FLEE THE COUNTRY!
gg
Guess whe''s going to jail tonight
No one. Hes not jailed. Hes held in seoul correctional facility. Warrant allows him to be questioned for up to 20 days.
